Pierre gonalons

Pierre Gonalons grew up in Lyon, surrounded by stories, objects and places that carried within them the memory of time.

From an early age, he developed an almost instinctive curiosity for materials, gestures and the silent narratives hidden behind decorative worlds. This gaze—both inquisitive and contemplative—would become the guiding thread of all his creation.

After studying at École Camondo, he understood that his place lay precisely at the point where heritage meets creation, and he transformed this sensitivity into a true design language. At only 24, he founded his own studio with a simple yet ambitious idea: to reinvent the relationship between tradition and modernity—not by opposing them, but by making them resonate.

For him, design is never merely a form: it is a staged narrative.
Deliberately simple lines, almost archetypal, unfold within a broad and expressive universe, alive with stories. A singular way of showing how a block of marble becomes furniture, how the grain of wood can carry emotion, how an interior can unfold like a cinematic world. His objects, imbued with quiet simplicity, take their place within generous and flamboyant compositions enriched by pop culture, decorative arts and historical references. Wood, marble, textiles and metal become, in his hands, the actors of a narrative where each element enters into dialogue with the next.

His future is not futuristic: it is human, artisanal, timeless.
Pierre Gonalons envisions design that progresses through the hands of artisans, through durable materials, and through an attention to essential beauty. For him, to create is to transmit; to innovate is to transform; to imagine the future is to look with new eyes at what has always been there. His sense of modernity draws strength from preserved savoir-faire, enduring materials and an aesthetic that transcends trends.

Today, whether he is designing an interior in Paris, London or Venice, or developing his collections in his Paris gallery, he pursues the same mission: to offer spaces and objects that move, that tell stories, that celebrate beauty, the passage of time and the intelligence of materials — a visual, sensory and deeply personal feast.

Each project becomes a stage, each object an emotion, each detail a sensation — an invitation to see differently.
